I don't share much of my own family on the blog.. mostly because I am always photographing other people's families & children :-)
So I am sharing a little of the fun side of our family. I thought these might put a smile on your face.
A little backstory...
When I was little (ok, maybe not THAT little) I discovered that I could look exactly like a monkey...just puff my cheeks, make my eyes big and pull my ears out. Of course my boys get a kick out of it & can do it on que! This also works to get a laugh out of clients little ones from time to time, so don't be terribly surprised to see me doing it at a session. I'll do my best to hide it behind the camera ;-)
When we decided to do a monkey theme in my boys bathroom, it seemed fitting that the 'monkey face' was included. So I brought them into the studio the other night and we gave it a go. I love how these came out. They make me smile, and isn't that the point of photography?!?
So here they are, my little monkeys...
Gabriel, who is 7...
Xavier, who is 5.5...
and the 'baby monkey, Sebastian, who is 3...
In case you hadn't thought about it. Our gallery wrapped canvas portraits work beautifully in a bathroom. They are not harmed by the moisture that is usually present in a bathroom!
Thanks for letting me share a little of our family!

The Pointer Family {Panama City Pet Photographer}
This was lots of fun! I have had the pleasure of working with the Pointers a few other times and its always a great time.
We had the WHOLE family this time, that would be including the Pointer's 3 dogs.
Ms. Fiona, the 60+ lb bulldog, was less than pleased at being a model, and she wasn't afraid to show us! lol
Nitzie on the other hand didn't mind playing dress up. She was an angel... and we even got a few in a tiara. Her 'mom' says she has the personality of Eeyore, can you see that in her eyes? :-)
and then there was Ms. Mollie, this little pup was a birthday gift for the youngest of the Pointers so we had to get some of them together too!
And the whole family!
Thanks for coming to see me at the studio! See you in a few weeks.

Family Group Fun! {Panama City Beach family photographer}
This was my largest group portrait on the beach to date, aside from weddings. 38 people! WooHoo! It was fun! lol
I love to see families who enjoy each others company enough to vacation together! Its not such a common thing anymore.
You guys were a great group! Thanks for letting me be a part of your vacation and spending a few evenings with me.

A little teaser! {Santa Rosa Beach photographer}
I spent the last few evenings in the Seaside area, photographing a large family from Texas... there is 37 of them ;-) They were referred to me by my friend & fellow photographer, Mindy Harmon. Thanks Mindy!
I'll be posting a real sneak peek for all of the families soon but I HAD to share this shot. As a mom of all boys, I LOVE the chance to shoot girlie-girl stuff!
Ms. Cashlen is just at the sitting age and boy was she a doll! The pastel rainbow petti skirt was so perfect on the beach too!
Couldn't you just squeeze her???

Durham 50th Wedding Anniversary Vow Renewal {Panama City Beach wedding photographer}
I love shooting vow renewals, I have had several lately and it is always inspiring to hear after 40 or 50 years what helps to keep a marriage alive.
Fifty years ago, Jim & Mary Lou decided to sneak away from a 4th of July picnic, cross from Texas into Oklahoma & get married! After 50 years, Jim decided to surprise Mary Lou with the wedding she never had.
The beautiful ceremony took place on Panama City Beach & they were surrounded by family & friends.
Their cake was decorated with gorgeous edible seashells!
